Raw Pet Food – Is It Needed

Frozen raw pet food should be handled very carefully. Always make certain to wash your hands after handling raw meat or poultry. Try not to use the kitchen work top, but if you do so, disinfect it with an appropriate cleaner. You can use a mixture of vinegar and warm water for it as well.

When raw pet food is frozen, bacteria does not increase and might even be reduced due to the freezing temperature. When the frozen food starts to thaw, bacteria will breed again, hence the food must be used soon after defrosting. It is advisable to use ceramic, glass or stainless steel bowls. Clean these thoroughly with hot soapy water, as soon as your pet has been fed.
